"Akihime" is a very strong strawberry liqueur that uses a lot of strawberries. Akihime is a tall, large-seeded variety that is remarkably sweet. I crushed the Akihime and used a lot of pulp. Plus, the acidity of the yogurt is added gently to create a literally thick liqueur. So much seed and flesh! Most strawberry liqueurs are usually of the "pickled" variety but this liqueur contains directly "crushed" pulp. Enjoy the rich sweetness of strawberries.
