Located in the north of the island of Honshu, the prefecture of Akita, this former mining basin has become one of the figureheads of a Sake rooted in tradition or the Hokushika brewery which has been creating this wonderful sake since 1944.
Brewed with great care Kita Akita is a Daiginjo using 50% polished local rice and slowly fermented at low temperature during the cold season.
It has a beautiful aroma like white peach, apple and has a dry and refreshing taste. Beautiful Finish, Clean, Soft, Aromatic Crispy, Well-balanced, tender such are the qualities of this very good sake. Kita Akita goes very well with Hot pots of fish, seafood, traditional French cuisine including white meats such as smoked ham, pot au feu, Blanquette de veau and vegetarian cuisine.
